Assume Your Position

Mathew 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Many in the world today believe they have been created accidentally, while others believe they have been born for a specific purpose. May I suggest to you that we all have a purpose; whether small or great. The world would function as a much happier place if we all knew what our specific assignment was. Whether you believe you’re here on purpose or not, I am here to encourage you to assume your position. What position? You may ask? Your position of power and authority in Christ Jesus.

God has given us all a measure of faith and gifting for which we are to glorify His name only through the use of them. Knowing who you are and why you exist can only come from  your creator, God himself. In a time where much idolatry is present and many options of religion exist, I would have you know there is only one Savior and His name is Christ Jesus. Assuming your position in Him will bring awareness of His might and power and produce disciples around the world as He commanded us to do in the great commission. (Mathew 28:19-20)

Your area of influence may be great or it may be small; regardless, there is a specific people that you have been called to reach through the demonstration of Christ’s power freely operating in your life. You have been charged by God almighty to assume your position and be the man or woman that He has called you to be. This is not just a calling only for your local assembly. Your purpose extends beyond the four walls of the church building. Your purpose is apart of your everyday living, eating, and breathing life. Whether you’re on the job, in the mall, at the gym or at the doctors office, your purpose should be fulfilled daily.

If Christ only reached out to the Jews and not the Gentiles alike there wouldn’t be a church; because His own people are the ones that rejected Him. So, what am I saying? Don’t fear the rejection of others! Don’t fear what people will say when you fully step into your purpose shoes. They may laugh and reject you now but in the end they will say, “surely they were a messenger of the son of God.”
