Miracle In Disguise

Have you ever prayed for something to come to past; and it seemed like everything happened but what you prayed for? Doors of opportunity opened yet they closed. Promises were made by man yet broken all in one day. Vacancies one day yet slots filled the next day. Sound much like punishment, huh? I know it sounds crazy but as weird as it may sound, would you believe me if I told you miracles are often disguised within that closed door? I know you’ve cried, I know you’re disappointed and even resent the entire situation; but would you believe me if I told you God has had His hand in this entire situation and prompted the closing of those doors?

You see, we as humans always look for things to happen on our time and when it doesn’t happen the way we expect it, we start to believe that we’ve failed. The fact of the matter is though, our timing is simply not God’s timing. So He will permit whatever may be necessary to allow us to meet our appointed time. Appointed time? What’s that? Appointed time is when you align yourself and your plans with the will and plans of God; it’s a time that you understand whether the door is closed or opened, it’s all apart of His plan.

Have you ever heard anyone say, “All hell breaks loose before your breakthrough?” Although cliché for some, the idea behind this statement is very powerful. You see, all things that are predestined to become don’t happen without a fight. Take a look at Christ for example. He fought from the day of His birth till the day He died; yet He completed the mission. Upon being born into the earth, Herod had decreed all males under two years old be killed. It was always a fight for Christ, yet He never aborted the mission. I know you’re confused because your situation looks completely opposite of everything that God has spoken to you. You’ve been fired from your job, you’ve gotten a divorce, friends you once had are now gone. Seems like your life consists of one failure after the other, one closed door preceding the other.

But have you ever taken a moment to think that all of the closed doors have ushered you into your destined place in Christ Jesus. That maybe sometimes your blessings come in the form of a closed door? Could it be that you have been rejected just like Jesus was betrayed by Judas; only to be thrusted into that place of resurrection and power? If I were you I’d say to my (situation)Judas, whatever you do; do it quickly (John 13:27) . . . I’d get on board with God and thank Him for the closed doors because then and only then will you understand that He’s been controlling the steering wheel of your life the entire time. Christ couldn’t experience the resurrection neither His ascension unto His father until He was rejected in the earth.

So with Christ being our greatest example, I encourage you today; embrace the closed doors, embrace the rejection. Then and only then will you ascend into new heights of relationship with your Heavenly Father. Don’t despise the closed door. Instead, welcome it because what’s on the other side of this closed door is the miraculous.
